Rom 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
Ye: "The Called" Rom 1:6, "Beloved of God" Rom 1:7, "Your faith is spoken of" Rom 1:8
ARE IN THE SPIRIT (have the Spirit): Joh 3:6, 2Cor 1:22, 1Cor 2:12, 1Cor 3:16, Rom 8:15, Eph 1:13, Eph 4:30
While it is true that the believer is to "walk in the Spirit" this verse does not say anything about walking. It is a statement of fact. The fact is we are in the Spirit and we have the Spirit. Furthermore we are spirit. We are in/have/dwelt by/sealed with/of the spirit. This has nothing NOTHING to do with our walk.
We are new creatures (2Cor 5:17) we do not have a sinful nature, just sinful habits. Our minds are to be renewed (Rom 12:2). We are righteous (1Cor 1:30), we are justified (Acts 13:39), we are glorified (Rom 8:30), we are adopted (Rom 8:15), we are complete in him (Col 2:10), we are sanctified (1Cor 6:11), we are made alive (Eph 2:1), we are perfected forever (Heb 10:14), we are partakers of the inheritance (Col 1:12, 13), we are indwelt by the Spirit (1Cor 3:16), we are dead to the law (Rom 7:4), we are delivered from the power of darkness (Col 1:13), we are changed into members of the kingdom of Christ (Col 1:13). None NONE of these have anything to do with my walk.
