Receiving God's Blessings

Psalm 1:1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

The receipient of God's blessings is a man that has first been set apart for that reason. Concerning the ungodly, he is one that does not walk, sit or stand in their counsel nor submits to their ways. He is separated.
Proverbs 18:1 Through desire a man, having separated himself, seeketh and intermeddleth with all wisdom.
The blessing can only come when the person has been removed from other persons that will hinder the flow of blessings. Then there must be a separation within the man. He must give up those habits or ideas that will not allow the blessings to be channeled to him. Indeed he must die to himself and be alive to Christ. He must completely abandon himself; his desires, his way of thinking, his own reasoning and trust completely in the living God.

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
3:6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
3:7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
